Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for staffing coverage, field performance, and operational execution across all assigned accounts. This position ensures every post is staffed, personnel are deployed as scheduled, and field operations consistently meet company and client expectations.
The Operations Manager works closely with Scheduling, Human Resources, Compliance, and field leadership to proactively address staffing challenges, maintain service quality, and respond to operational issues in real time. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong accountability, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain full staffing coverage across all assigned accounts. No post should remain unfilled without a documented resolution plan.
- Partner with the Scheduling Department to identify and resolve staffing shortages before they impact operations or clients.
- Directly supervise Field Managers, Field Supervisors, Site Supervisors, and Security Officers.
- Conduct routine and unannounced site inspections to ensure compliance with post orders, company standards, and client expectations.
- Respond to field incidents, employee call-offs, operational emergencies, and client concerns as needed.
- Maintain accountability for attendance, performance, professionalism, and conduct across all field personnel.
- Address disciplinary matters promptly and ensure all corrective actions are properly documented.
- Support Human Resources with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts to maintain staffing readiness.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client representatives and key stakeholders.
- Monitor labor utilization, overtime, and staffing costs, escalating budget concerns to the Director of Operations as appropriate.
- Review, approve, and audit incident reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
- Enforce BSIS regulations, company policies, post orders, and operational procedures.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate personnel, site, and compliance records.
- Assist with emergency staffing needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and critical coverage situations when necessary.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid California Guard Card.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of security operations, account management, or security leadership experience.
- Previous supervisory, field leadership, or operations management experience.
- Demonstrated success managing staffing coverage across multiple sites and personnel teams.
- Strong knowledge of California BSIS regulations and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and professional report writing.
Preferred:
- Military, law enforcement, or executive protection background.
- Experience managing multiple client accounts in a contract security environment.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
