Pay: $28.00 per hour 

Work Schedule:
Monday–Sunday
  • 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Day Shift)
  • 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Swing Shift)
  • 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Graveyard Shift)

Position Overview:
An Event Security Officer protects guests, staff, and property at venues like stadiums and theaters. They manage crowd control, conduct bag checks, screen for prohibited items, and respond to emergencies. The role demands strong conflict resolution, vigilance, and the ability to stand for long periods. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check bags, scan attendees with magnetometers, and verify tickets or VIP credentials.
  • Monitor crowd flow, prevent bottlenecks, and guide guests to ensure an orderly environment.
  • Diffuse unruly behavior, enforce venue policies, and remove disruptive individuals when necessary.
  • Act as a first responder during medical events, fire alarms, or security threats.
  • Patrol venue perimeters, monitor CCTV, and secure backstage or restricted areas

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of prior security experience preferred (event environment preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Proficiency with smartphones, incident reporting applications, and email
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to consistently work 8-hour day or night shifts, with overtime as needed

Requirements:
  • Valid BSIS guard card
  • Ability to pass a background screening, including California Live Scan
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to approximately 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for most of an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to regularly climb stairs
