Position Overview
VCPG is seeking a professional, customer-focused Unarmed Corporate Security Officer to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at a premier corporate campus in Foster City. This position requires maturity, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining a visible security presence.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service while enforcing security policies and responding effectively to incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine patrols of assigned buildings and surrounding property.
- Monitor the premises to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Control access by verifying the identity of employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance.
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident and activity reports.
- Enforce client policies, procedures, and site-specific security protocols.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
- Communicate effectively with clients, employees, visitors, and emergency responders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of security experience preferred.
- Corporate security experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in stressful situations.
- Proficiency with smartphones, incident reporting software, and email communication.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
Requirements:
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation, including California Live Scan.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to regularly climb stairs.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Availability to work overtime when operational needs require.
