Job Description:

Veterans Covert Protection Group (VCPG) is seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Corporate Security Officer for a part-time assignment in Atherton, CA.

We are looking for a security professional who takes pride in their appearance, demonstrates strong situational awareness, and understands the importance of providing exceptional customer service in a corporate environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a safe and secure environment while interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and clients. This position requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a professional, approachable, and visible security presence at the assigned location.
Monitor and manage access to buildings, offices, and restricted areas.
Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to identify potential security risks and safety concerns.
Observe, identify, document, and report suspicious activity or unusual incidents.
Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
Prepare accurate and detailed daily activity reports and incident reports.
Provide excellent customer service when assisting employees, visitors, vendors, and clients.
Monitor surveillance cameras, access control systems, and other security equipment as assigned.
Enforce site-specific security procedures, company policies, and established protocols.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and fellow security personnel.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information or situations.
Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess a valid California BSIS Guard Card.
Previous security experience preferred, ideally in a corporate or professional environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service-focused mindset.
Professional appearance, demeanor, and conduct at all times.
Ability to remain calm, composed, and professional in high-pressure situations.
Strong observation skills, situational awareness, and attention to detail.
Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and detailed security reports.
Reliable transportation and a demonstrated commitment to punctuality and attendance.
Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic reporting systems.
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and exercise good judgment.
Must be available to work Thursday through Saturday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in corporate security, technology campuses, executive offices, or professional business environments.
Prior military, law enforcement, or professional security experience.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and visitor management systems.
Experience responding to security incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
