Position Overview:
  • VCPG is seeking a professional, customer-focused Unarmed Corporate Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at a premier corporate campus in Foster City, California.
  • This position requires maturity, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining a visible and approachable security presence.
  • The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service while consistently enforcing security policies and responding effectively to incidents and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and surrounding property.
  • Monitor the premises to identify and address potential safety and security concerns.
  • Control access by verifying the identity and authorization of employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident and daily activity reports.
  • Enforce client policies, procedures, and site-specific security protocols.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and attentive security presence.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders.
  • Promptly report security concerns, unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations through the appropriate chain of command.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of security experience preferred.
  • Corporate security experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in stressful situations.
  • Proficiency with smartphones, email, and electronic incident reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and exercise sound judgment.

Requirements:
  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening, including California Live Scan.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 10-hour shift.
  • Ability to regularly climb stairs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Availability to work overtime when required by operational needs.

  • Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain punctual and reliable attendance.

  • Exercise discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Represent VCPG and the client with courtesy, respect, and professionalism in every interaction.
